Sabrina: I am a mother of 5 children, and have 6 grandchildren so far. As far back as I can remember, I have always loved to create, and come up with great ideas. I know that at times I drove my mother and sisters crazy, and later my ex-husband, and perhaps, even my children. But you know what? All that creativity has given me immense happiness and pleasure.
Over the years I have been creative in knitting, crocheting, cooking, baking, and sewing (for which I have won several awards), drawing (again awards – even as a child), painting, photography, writing, crafts, graphic design, bookmaking, cardmaking, and scrapbooking. I have even taught many a creative class on a volunteer basis. If I totaled all the money I have spent on all these abilities/obsessions from all those years, I’m sure it would be astronomical. But, hey, it sure made life much more enjoyable.
Recently, with the influence of my daughter, Dana, who shares this blog with me and Stefanie, I have once again taken up scrapbooking, cardmaking, bookmaking, and some 3-D projects. What fun I am having, and once again I am spending money in order to be creative. We’ve decided that we wanted to keep track of all our work and to see the progress we make as we become more experienced and try new things. So, voila, Dana created this blog, and I’ve discovered that having a blog to display ones work, has added another dimension of excitement in creating and crafting.
My thoughts are beginning to lead me to the idea of using my graphic design education to create ideas to share with others, and more. Where will this lead me to I wonder. Perhaps it is about time that I make my some of my dreams come true.
Hope that you enjoy what we all share with you on our blog. Join up, make comments; we really do want to hear what you have to say, and “Happy creativity to you all!”
