I'm particularly pleased with how this card turned out.
The wooden snowflake embellishment was given to me by Stefanie. I sprayed it with a bit of her white Heidi Swapp Color Shine spray (not very evident - I had difficulty with application for some reason). I added a Tinier Tag (PTI Stamp-a-fair 2015 kit) with a sentiment from the Tiny Tags stamp set. The tiny holly image is from the PTI Make It Market Kit All Through the House. I threaded the tag with red and white baker's twine and added a teeny bell.
I affixed the snowflake embellishment on a kraft die cut Snowflake Medallion (from MFT) that I spritzed with Mister Huey's Opaque White spray.

I ask, on occasion, the lady who watches my youngest daughter if she wouldn't mind seeing my other two children off to school. She always agrees and never takes payment for it. So I picked up a favorite mascara and sent it off with a thank you card.
The "thanks" die was a "free with $60 purchase" gift from My Favorite Things. So was the stitched speech bubble border die!! Gotta love it!
I even whipped out my hot glue gun for the darn sequins!

I was so excited to have made my mother a birthday card this year! I sat down and knocked off two birthday cards at once, something that I haven't done in ages!
When I discovered that Lisa Johnson had created a Forget-Me-Not set for My Favorite Things, I had to have it! I specifically had my mother in mind for it, but when I sat down to create, I ended up using it primarily on the inside of the card.
I have another class scrapbooking class layout that I want to share with you. The fun thing is I'm posting it from a five day scrapbooking retreat here in Honeymoon Bay, BC. Gorgeous area! Wish you could all be here with me. Maybe I'll post some photos when i get back home. I'm having a lot of fun working on my own projects rather than preparing for classes. Before leaving Victoria I had complete this layout but didn't have a chance to post it for everyone.
On to the real purpose of this post! The class I'm posting for is a layout class using Graphic 45's 12 Days of Christmas paper. This double page layout looks great without all the fussy cutting embellishment, or with it. For me however, Graphic 45 means fussy cutting which is a lot of work, but with shaping the pieces and layering them, I love the dimension and final look.
This double layout has photo mats for one 4 1/2" SQ photo, seven 2" SQ photos, and a 3" x 7 1/2" journaling strip. 9 sheets of 12 x 12 designer papers are used in this layout, 2 of which were all fussy cut up for embellishing.

Much shorter posting than the last one on the explosion box. So for me it's back to having some fun and back to scrapbooking some of the many photos I have. I'm trying out the 'Project Life' or 'Albums Made Easy' systems. Entirely new way to scrapbook for me. I thought it would go a lot faster, and it is in one way, but it still takes time to decide what photos go where, and what paper and embellishments to make, etc. I'll let you know how it goes and turns out one day.

Welcome everyone! I have a special project to show you today, however due to the many photos needed to show it all to you, you may want to grab a cup of herbal tea, put your feet up and take a moment to relax as I take you on a tour of this project.
This project is for the last Graphic 45 Club class for this year, and we are using G45's 12 Days of Christmas paper. With the exception of the cardstock (Bazzill Card Shoppe 12 x 12 Candy Bar) for the box base and the tags and the 12 x 12 sheet of clear plastic for the tree, I used just about a full 12 x 12 pad.
Here are a few photos of the box from the outside.
Here you see my clear pyramid tree encasing a spiral tree made from strips I cut from the page frames. More details about that in the video to come below. How about a view more from the top.
You can see all the fussy cutting shaped and layered. Each panel of the box is actually a pocket that contains a photo mat on one side and a journaling mat on the other. At the back of each pocket is a place to attach another photo. So there is room for 20 photos with 12 journaling tags.
Here is a close up of the tree.
The following photos are two of each flap, page, or pocket (whatever you want to call them), so you can see the paper used on the photo mat for that pocket. You will also see that the fussy cut image for each pocket theme has been covered with a thin layer of Star Dust Stickles to give it more of a focus. The photos seem to have picked up heavily on the sparkle and in real life is not that sparkly.

This box can be a Christmas memento used every year. You add photos in it of this 2013 Christmas that will be a hidden treasure to look at following Christmases whenever you want, or just add one Christmas photo every year for 20 years. The photos are there, but not open to view as you go through the 12 Days of Christmas as part of your Christmas decor explosion box.
I wish you could see it in real, because the photos do not do it justice.

Sorry I didn't get this posted this morning at the start of the new challenge. I've had a very busy couple of weeks and taught two classes yesterday, had to get off early to church this morning, and celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving with my parents the rest of the day even though it really isn't till tomorrow. I have work to do tomorrow so we celebrated it today. So here it is nearly the end of the day!
My first thought and idea for this week's Pink, Brown & White Christmas Card Challenge was something very different from what I decided to make in the end. I was going to go soft with mostly white and a bit of pink with a very little touch of brown. Then I thought, "Why not try something different for a change? Go outside your comfort zone Sabrina." So I did, and went with a very dark brown and a deep and bright pink, with touches of a lighter pink, and white of course.
Starting with a white pencil crayon made my faux stitched border. Then taking some older cling stamps I stamped them in white all over the brown. Next, I die cut and punched out some snowflakes in the deeper bright pink, in softer light pink, and in white.
I then put some of them through my 1 1/2" Xyron sticker maker and pulled out some light pink, deeper bright pink, and some white Chrystal glitter. I applied these to some of the snowflakes leaving some without glitter. The next step was to pop up and create a wreath using some of those snowflakes.
I think that next time I do this, I would use fewer snowflakes so that you could more easily see the individual snowflakes, rather than bunching them up so tightly.

I love the beautiful Autumn colours, and with now being able to use markers it makes it so much more fun to create Autumn and Thanksgiving cards!
So for October's Spectrum Noir Fun Club class we are doing just that. These are the two images we'll be colouring and making cards from.
For this class we will practise blending with different colours (yellow with greens, oranges and browns), colouring sentiment labels, and giving an ink distressed look using our markers rather than the favorite TH Ink Distress blending.
The pumpkin stamp is a single one, so I masked to get three pumpkins. And I have to say that I like my first colouring of the pumpkins on my class practise sheet than I do the one ones on the card. Since that happens often, maybe I should colour my card image first and then the practise one.
You can see the edges of the pumpkin paper has been distress with the markers using EB2 and the Blender pen.
