Fav Papertrey Project from 2010

Throughout these Papertrey Ink anniversary festivities, they're posting their fav projects of 2010... I did a Best of 2010 post here, but this was my favorite Papertrey project of the bunch!

Original post here.

Thanks for stopping by!

Inspiration Moment: Laurie

Laurie Willison of Soapbox Creations is one of my favorite creators and I couldn't resist posting some of her most recent cards...

On this one, I love the colors, I love the text frame and the crested border... I love the dotted background and the one rounded corner... I love Laurie's signature silver rhinestones, too!

This one features delicious colors and engaging texture!

[Edited to add one more card!]

This stunning beauty was added Dec 30th!!

PTI Moment: Niki Estes

Being a huge Papertrey Ink fan, I'm familiar with the majority of the designers. The blog of Niki Estes, My Paper Creations, has really caught my attention recently... She's a fabulous crafter! The majority of her cards have the most amazing stitching on them! I was rummaging through her PTI posts looking for a specific project that she had done (will prob put that in a different post) and thought I would share some of her pieces that really inspire me... (She has other wonderful non-PTI cards, but I chose to focus on PTI for this post.)

Clicking on these photos will take you to their coordinating posts on Niki's blog:

Thanks for sharing, Niki!

PTI Moment: Erin Lincoln

Erin Lincoln, of Procrastination Station, is one of Papertrey Ink's newest design team members. I was checking out her latest for the September release when I stumbled upon this from the August release...

Now, Gobble Gobble was not on my list of stamps to get (still isn't) but I love this card! The color combo, the argyle block matted with white that's adhered askew and the dash of Harvest Gold ribbon! Be still my heart! The cloud die thought bubble is an added bonus!

There's also this stunning concoction:

Thanks, Erin!

Decorating Brown Paper Bags

The August Papertrey Ink Blog Hop was all about using brown paper bags in your creations (it changes every month). There was TONS of inspiration but I thought I'd focus on how to decorate them for gift giving purposes...

From Sarah Mac at the Unhurried Life:

From Jamie Greene at The Greene Family & Crafts:

From Janelle at Show & Tell:

From Christi at ...with a lime:

From Julie of Paper and Such:

From Kristii of Honestly Speaking...:

From BethieJ at her blog:

From Dr. Ivy of Inklinations (this isnt a paper bag per se but still for gifts):

From Ally of Ally's Alley:

From Sue of Card Therapy:

This set is not from the Blog Hop but I remember it from when Niki of My Paper Creations posted it in May!

Thank you all for sharing your talent and inspiration! One of these days I'll actually get to participating! ;)

Back to School Scrapbooking Tips

I'm sending my eldest child to Kindergarten tomorrow! I'm so excited to scrapbook the occasion even though I don't have a ton of "crafting" time and scrapbooking so thoroughly intimidates me. But how can I balk when there are such ideas as these??

First, you must check out Scrapbook Update's article Cool for School. It gives perfect tips for tracking your child's school years!

Next, check out these amazing projects! Give a little love at their blogs...

This beauty is from Laurie Willison at Soapbox Creations. She's one of my fav creative geniuses! You must check out each page of this masterful little "first day" album she created with brown paper lunch bags!

This album was created by Nichole Heady, co-master of Papertrey Ink. Again, you must go and check out each page she has created for this sweet memento! She also has a cute scrapbook layout at the same link.

This layout is from Niki Estes of My Paper Creations:

Melissa at Melissa's Paperie created this cute First & Last page... What a terrific idea!

There is so much inspiration out there! Seek it out for your own back-to-school projects! ;)

PTI Moment: Debbie Olsen

I post Debbie Olsen cards fairly often here... She's just so darn talented!!

Today's card is one that uses several of her endorsed products: Spellbinders, Zva Creative, Copics and, lest we forget, Papertrey Ink!

I love the embossed border around the center label... I keep forgetting that possibility with my Spellbinders!!

Thanks, Debbie! We love you!!

Blog Pimpin': Stitches and Ink

I found a couple of projects I'd really like to share from Linda of the Stitches and Ink blog!

The first is from the recent Papertrey Ink Blog Hop. There were so many WONDERFUL projects!! People can be such creative geniuses! Linda's submission is adorable!

What a wonderful way to be welcomed to the neighborhood!

Here's the detail:

The other project is a stunning card using PTI's new Year of Flowers stamp set: Gladiolus! I can't wait to finally get mine in the mail!

Thanks for sharing, Linda!

PTI Moment: Maile Belles

After the last post, I realized that it had been too long since I've posted a "PTI Moment." I use my "PTI Moments" to display inspirational photos from PTI Design Team members or creations using PTI products. As my blog team knows, I'm a huge PTI advocate!

I've been meaning to post pics from Maile's last PTI release because I simply can't stop looking at them! Especially this first one:

She indicates on her blog here that this card is deceptively simple because it took her forever to complete. It was well worth the effort in my mind... I keep coming back to this card to stare at it! It's too bad I didn't see this card BEFORE my release order or I would've gotten this stamp set/dies. (I had liked this set during the release projects but after seeing the stamp set in its entirety, I changed my mind... I didn't want to get a whole set just for 1 or 2 stamps... Guess it's worth it after all!)

The following card was acclaimed by Nichole on her "morning after" post:

Again, stunning in its simplicity! Maile certainly has a genius to her work! That two-tone ink technique is the first thing I thought of when this stamp set was first demonstrated, so Autumn! I love her idea of using Fillable Frames 7 within Mat Stack 4.

This card uses the same stamp set as the 1st card in this post but was not part of her August release projects:

She was right to be pleased with the color combo! And that twill ribbon goes perfectly!

Back to the August release, she shows us a stunning new technique... Painting with GlimmerMist!

I can't believe how glorious this creation turned out!

I love the colors and the layout in this next one where she helps showcase Alli's latest:

The buttons, twill and Mat Stack 4 cutout look so wonderful this way!

Her Halloween contribution includes a tutorial on making your own spiderwebs... So fun!

These next cards are not PTI stamps but they are using other PTI supplies and are still, obviously, by a PTI designer. Here's one with Lawn Fawn stamps... I have this set, too! It's so cute!

The rest of these featured cards are using WPlus9 Design Studio stamps. They had a terrific release this month! I love the color combo on this one!

I love the stage that she set on this one:

Well, that's plenty for now! I feel so grateful for all the wonderful papercrafters out there sharing their talent with the world!
