Weekly Scrapper by Scrapbook Expo

Wow! I can't believe that nearly three weeks have gone by since the last bog post! It has been an unusual month for me, with nothing going according to plan! We all have those times in our life, I'm sure.

Though I don't have a creation to share with you yet, I do have something exciting to share with you. I was featured on Weekly Scrapper by Scrapbook Expo by Leann Ostergaard! My 'London Tower' layout, using Graphic 45's French Country paper and their tags, was the project shared there. Thank you Leann, what a surprise! I have to brag a little, so hop on over to see what wonderful things were said about my layout.

Thank you Gloria Stengel for bringing the post to my attention. I was amazed and blown away.

Two Things

First thing-

Today, I've posted File Folder Folio #5 on my other blog, Paper Architecture With Sabrina. If you'd like to see more, hop on over to get more photos and a video walk-through tour of the project.

Using Graphic 45's "Come Away With Me" collection makes this folio a perfect one to keep a record of your Summer vacation to share with family and friends.

There is a ton of photo space as well as plenty of journaling space to share your vacation experiences. Pockets, tags, flaps, and hidden page parts also make this interactive folio fun to browse through.

Travel File Folder Folio - Come Away With Me

With Summer soon turning into Fall, and Summer vacations coming to an end, having a Folio to feature your favorite photos of your Summer fun is a great project to make. Using Graphic 45's "Come away with Me" 12 x 12 paper collection and a few file folders, I've come up with a folio to show them off to family and friends.

This project will first be taught in a class here in Victoria, BC, September 20th, and then the instructions will be available for purchase to all. In class we will be using a better colour of folder to go with this paper collection.

In the meantime I thought seeing this video would show you what the folio is like, and later I'll post a few more details. So watch the video, mark your calendars, and then come back to see some more.

This "Come Away With Me" travel folio can showcase up to 55 photos and journaling spots!

You will have to put up with music that did not cut off when programed to; something happened when uploading it. Sorry. But you can see the project, even if you can't always hear me.

Come Away With Me - Cards With A Twist Class

Welcome!

For the next four days I'll be showing a set cards I will be teaching in September. These are simple cards, but each is unique, a card with a twist. All cards are created using the Graphic 45 "Come Away With Me" 6 x 6 pad and the Chipboard #2 package. I'll post them in the order you see in the above photo.

Today is the "Twist On A Gate-Card".

The twist for this card is the interlocking tabs placed on the front of the card. Here are a few more photos showing the card from different angles.

You can of course open the card a bit more when standing, I just wanted you to see more of the outside. Next, views of the card laying down.

 Now for the card fully open.

You could do some lovely stamping on these inner side panels!

Guest Designer for Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog

It's been so long since I made this layout for Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog, that I forgot to post this as a Guest Designer for Challenge 11! I'll be a Guest designer for the month of July which includes Challenge 12 as well. But let's get back to Challenge 11!

Challenge #11 Tag, You're It!

Use a tag on your project. Create a handmade gift tag. Create a tag mini album. Add tags to your scrapbook layout or your card. You may use some hoarded tag-shaped packaging or you may cut tags from scrap paper using a die cut template. Maybe you hoard shipping tags of all sizes. As long as your project contains some sort of tag, you will meet the requirements to play along!

 You still have a week to play in Challenge #11! You have until midnight PT, July 20th to link up your creation.

Now for my "Tag" project. Using Graphic 45's French Country and recent photos of my youngest daughter's recent trip to Europe this past April, I thought it might be fun to see if I could create a layout using Graphic 45's Regular Tag Album. Some tags I cut down in size.

Happy NSD and A Challenge Entry

HAPPY NATIONAL SCRAPBOOKING DAY EVERYONE!

Some of you know that I really enjoy Gloria Stengel's challenge blog, Craft Hoarders Anonymous. And because I do, I squeezed in a project to enter just before the deadline. It gave me an excuse to print a couple of photos of my youngest daughter's trip to Europe and make a layout. She and a couple of friends took a few weeks off from work and have gone to London England, two or three places in Italy (one being Rome), Germany, and are currently in Amsterdam.

The current challenge  at Craft Hoarders Anonymous is a sketch with a twist - which is to use something old and something new. Well, all the paper I used is old. I've had it for a couple of yearsby now. It's Prima's Almanac. The ribbon is new, the photos are very new as my daughter is still over there, and the bling is new. Well, new to me.

To the left is the sketch from CHA. It can be used for any kind of project you wish!

I ended up putting two extra small
photos on the LO than indicated in the sketch, but I tried to make the three one unit. At the top of the larger photo you see a tag peeking out from behind. This can be pulled out and has some journaling on it.

I have a couple of detail photos for you.

This photo shows the details of tearing, curling, inking and painting with ink and water.

And this one just shows the pull out tag and circle element from the sketch to which I added some bling (one of my new elements on the project).

Travel Log Flip Folio

Every summer people talk about the vacations they plan and all the photos they'd bring back to show everyone how much fun they had. So why not make a travel folio that will hold a ton of vacation photos? This folio has it all; pages the flip, cascading photos, pockets and tags, and a lot of space for journaling. And guess what? It holds up to 46 photos with tons of journaling space, all within 6"w x 8 1/2" h x 1 1/4" thick! It looks like just any other book in your bookshelf.

There's not a whole lot to say about this project, so I'm just posting the photos. I hope that those that are unable to complete the folio in class can follow these to complete theirs.

Come Fly With Me

-No Binding Envelope Mini & Display Stand

What a fun project this was to make. But then I say that with nearly all my creations, don't I.

For this project I used Basic Grey's "What's Up" in the 6 x 6 pad format along with some of the matching brads and 3D stickers of the collection.

Originally I was just making the mini, with the intent to make a stand for display at the store. But when I out together the little stand, I thought that perhaps we should make it in class as well. So I used some more of the collection paper to cover the box.

So lets start with the photos of both the mini and the stand together.
