Monochromatic Card Kit #2

Hello again!

So glad you stopped by. Today's post is about the 2nd Monochromatic card kit for Scrapbook Parade.

A second Monochromatic Card Kit designed by Sabrina! This time we have cards in richer colours like purple, brown, red, green, teal, and pink on black. And just as in the last monochromatic kit, the cardstock will be cut for you, the stamping is done except for the sentiments you wish to put on your card, some of the heat embossing will be done, and the ink blending will be done for you too!

This is what you will need to assemble your cards:
• double sided adhesive tape
• liquid glue
• VersaMark ink pad
• gold embossing powder
• heat tool
• white & black foam tape (or pop ups)
• water and a small paint brush
• scissors

We hope you have just as much fun putting these Monochromatic cards together as you did with the previous kit.

Kit Cost: $25.00

NOTE: Here's the link to get in touch with Carol at Scrapbook Parade. If you do not live in Victoria, BC, this kit can be mailed to you.

The detailed photos will be posted some time not long after March 28th for those needing to see more details in putting the cards in their kit together.

Happy papercrafting!

Graphic 45 "Fashion Forward" - Card Kit #2

Welcome Back!

It's time to show you the second card kit using Graphic 45's 'Fashion Forward paper collection. If you didn't get a chance to see the first kit, check the previous post.

You will see that there are no sentiments on these cards. The reason being that each person can create their own to customize their cards.

These next four cards are Card Kit #2 designed by Sabrina using the beautiful Graphic 45 "Fashion Forward" papers, and is an easy kit to work with. The oval die cuts add a bit of simple elegance to each card. All the stamping, die cutting and PP cuts are done for you. All you need to do is cut up the black and gold foil cardstock to mat your PP. You will also need to do the fussy cutting. Each card has more than one spot to attach your own sentiment, or leave the cards as they are like a note card.

Kit #2 uses the May, June, July & August sheets from the Fashion Forward collection, but of course they can be used for any time throughout the year. These four cards are A7 in size (5 x 7).

Kit Cost: $20.00
Note: All 3 Fashion Forward Kits will be available March 28th. From March 28th through March 30th the close up photos of the cards will be posted for those that need a closer detailed look at the cards while they assemble them.

Graphic 45 "Fashion Forward" - Card Kit #1

Welcome Everyone!

Over the next three days I will be posting a series of card kits designed for Scrapbook Parade in Victoria, BC. However, if you would like a kit, and do not live in Victoria, BC, you can contact Carol and order a kit that can be mailed to you. The link to contacting Carol will be at the end of this post.

These three card kits will be using the beautiful Graphic 45 'Fashion Forward' paper collection.

This is the first of three card kits using this beautiful and colourful paper. There will be four cards per kit. This first kit uses the January, February, March and April papers from this collection. However, you can give them out at any time of the year.

As always, each kit comes with a set of colour printed instructions to follow. There will be fussy cutting, heat embossing a metal embellishment, working with gold foil cardstock, playing with tule ribbon and more!

These four cards are A7 in size (5 x 7), so there is plenty of room to write a nice note to whomever you mail or give them to. There is room to add a sentiment on two of the cards so that you can customize your card as well.

Kit Cost: $20.00

Exciting New Kit! - Graphic 45 "Fashion Forward" Sampler

Hello Everyone!

Using the beautiful new Graphic 45 "Fashion Forward" paper I designed a sampler with it's gorgeous bright colours. This sampler is for a kit that will be made up for Scrapbook Parade and will be available March 28th for pick up. If you do not live in Victoria, BC You can contact Carol and have it shipped to you. The kit does not include the shadow box frame so that you can choose the frame that you want.

I posted it on the Graphic 45 community Facebook page and was excited to get this comment from them.

Now, I'm guessing that you want to see the project; right?

The following was posted on the Scrapbook Parade Facebook page.

This new kit is made with the gorgeous and brightly coloured papers of Graphic 45's "Fashion Forward". Designed by Sabrina. This kit can be used three ways:
  • 1) The photos show it as a sampler in a shadow box frame, without the glass so that each month you lift the card up to see the quote. (The kit does not come with a frame
  • 2) This would also work as a year in review by adding your photo of the month on the inside of the flap. If you like this idea, just hold off on the foam pop ups when assembling your project and stick it into your scrapbook without a protective sheet. Just create an additional binding piece to attach, and you can add it in. Sabrina will include instructions on how to do that if that is what you you would like to create with this project.
  • 3) Like idea #2, you could also use this as the contents page for your 2020 scrapbook by adding cream cardstock onto the flaps and write on it the layouts you have included for that month.

We hope one of these ideas will peak your interest in creating this sampler with this beautiful paper.

Kit Cost: $18.00 (limited quantities)

Note: The G45 Pre-Order List people get first dibs...

So let's have a bit of a  closer look.

Now let's look under the flaps, shall we.

Isn't this fun! As mentioned in the kit description, this project can be made for a shadowbox frame, or the scrapbook for two different purposes.

This will not be available for pick up or mailing from Scrapbook Parade until March 28th, 2020. On that day I will make another post for those that purchase the kit, so that they may view even more photos. So look for that post on that day.

Thank you for your support, for dropping by, and for you comments.

Happy Papercrafting!

Baby Shower Gift - Boxes & Card

Hello Everyone!

Today I am sharing with something that I made for a Baby Shower. I had crocheted 3 pairs of little booties, and could not find a gift box around the house that was the right size. So a thought came to mind saying, "Come on Sabrina, you can make boxes, so what's stopping you?". I guess I was thinking I needed my score board to make a box big enough for 3 pairs of booties, which is stored away still in one of my many boxes in my daughter's garage. But I remembered that I had my box punch board. I could make one box for each pair of booties and stack them together and tie a ribbon around all three boxes!

How did I get that pattern on the bottom of the boxes? Well I used Peeled Paint Oxide ink and a stencil with a blending tool. Then I used copper washi tape as a border along the top edge of the pattern.

The above photo shows the top box open and flat to give you an idea of how I did it. I did the same stenciling on the top portions of the box that go on top of the other 2 boxes. It was real easy to do, and did not take much time at all.

You also see the little 4 x 4 card that I made to coordinate with the boxes. The envelope is not quite a matching piece, but that was the best I could do with what I had, and it is still blue for a little baby boy.

I cut the blue piece and attached the same copper washi tape around the edges to create the border. Then I stamped and heat embossed a little copper plane fussy cutting it out. I then popped up the blue piece over the white I had already attached to the card front. Next I popped up the little banner and the copper plane.

I used my Mini Envelope Punch Board to make the envelope.

Because all those layers make the card a little front heavy, I like to add a couple of cardstock layers on the inside of the card so that it can better stand and not topple over.

Plus it nicely frames the inside sentiment and what you write on the card.

I wanted to have one more photo to show you here, but guess what? After tying the boxes together with a beautiful dark green ribbon, I forgot to take the photo before going the the shower.

I hope that you have been inspired to try some stenciling on any boxes you might next make. I think I like it better than adding cut pieces of patterned paper. At least for now anyway.

Happing creating!
