Here is the result of the CPS 158 inspiration:
The white base card was ink distressed with Dew Drop Versa Magice Red Brick. I then embossed the yellow/gold Bazzill paper on the Cuttlebug using the Friends Forever folder and gently applied Dew Drop Versa Magic Red Brick ink on the raised surface. Then I used the Versa Mark pen over the embossed surface, once the ink was dry, and heat embossed with clear powder. I then stamped Happy Birthday, from the Hero Arts Birthday Say set, down the left side of the card. I decided to ink the paper edges with the Red Brick as well.
The corners were rounded on the red/orange and yellow/gold papers using the Corner Chomper. The sentiment was stamped using the Hero Arts March set, and a tag was made from it with Spellbinders tags. The ribbon was fed through on each side, and the right side of the tag partially folder under on the right side with the ribbon ends to meet on the left side of the card. Then I used a Bo Bunny button with a red/orange floss to tie the button to the ribbon keeping the ribbon in place, and trimmed the ribbon.
One thing I must say, however, is that the colors in the photo are not true. They are a slightly darker and brighter than what they turned out to be in the photo.
It was so fun making the card with the CPS inspired sketch that I feel I can, and will, enter more challenges in the future.
