Another successful class! This one was held on November 9th. We Heat embossed on foil, using inks as a major toll created a no-layers card, and used Liquid Pearls for the first time in class! (the link goes to the new formula, where we used the older version. I can hardly wait to see what the difference is with the new formulation!)
On the "Peace" card with the Wisemen, we used Tim Holtz Distress ink pads in Tumbled Glass and Stormy Sky to create the colored strip behind the Wisemen Stamp from Cornish Heritage Rubber Stamps who are, unfortunately, no longer in business.
Heat embossing on foil is a challenge. But, with some tips it is possible. Be sure to use an anti-static powder, like the "Stamp Perfect Printing Pouch" before stamping, and be sure that you use a low heat embossing gun like Ranger's Heat-It Craft tool. Your foil is less likely to bubble from the heat of a heat embossing gun with this tool; plus, it's quieter too.
The last card, I like to call "Old World Spanish Wealth" influenced. We all had fun using the Liquid Pearls! This card later inspired a Scrapbook page that I designed for a Christmas 5 x 7 family Christmas photo. Will be posting that later. The papers for this card are from Teresa Collins Noel series.
Click on the photo if you want a closer look. Hope you have fun trying out some of the techniques!
