Some More "Time For Christmas"

This series of Christmas cards I call my traditional red and green series.

I'll start with this pair of simple cards, made from scraps. On the green card base I used Versa Mark and stamped snowflakes. Then I wrapped the gold ribbon around one edge and attached it to the card. Embellishments for the two cards are a little different - one using green cedar-like branches (cut from scraps that I keep stored in glass jars for my convenience) and red jewels around the gold bow - one I used a left-over poinsettia on a left-over snowflake cut on the Cricut from last
 Christmas.

Short and wide version that fits into a business sized envelope with a snowflake stamped on the lower left corner.

Next, I made several of these cards to use up all these white circles I had cut from scraps. I stamped and heat embossed red snowflakes and attached them onto the card over the red & white gingham ribbon. Then I tied the bow. Since I used the corners of the green patterned paper to take advantage of the corner swirls, so each card has a slightly different appearance depending on where I decided to place the corner. Each card also has a matching hand made envelope.

Another version without the jewel and bow.

With the next series, I used the same green flourish corner paper but decided it was time to use two things. One, poinsettias, and my new I-Top Brad maker. I happened to have scraps of red & white gingham paper and thought that those scraps would make great brads!

The poinsettias were cut using Spellbinders Shapeabilities, and again I used from my jar reserves the white cedar-like branches cut with Martha Stewart's punch.

Here is a slightly change version using more of the red & white gingham ribbon since I used up all my brads.

This last Red & Green card series is created using shaped paper trimmed down to form a card with a curved edge.

I used the Gelly Roll Clearstar pen to sparkle up the red berries on the paper, and a gold Gel Pen to line around the edge of the card and inside the white circle tracing the inner edge of the Spellbinders circle die. The three looped ribbon  you see coming out form under the Spellbinders scalloped circle, is one piece created using scor tape

So I hope you enjoyed looking at my Red, White & Green (more traditional) series of Christmas cards. The is still more Christmas cards to come. Hope that you all are having fun creating your Christmas cards, too!

These are so gorgeous! You need to do a tutorial on that last ribbon method!

Very pretty, Sabrina! I love all the flourishes and poinsettias and how you used the branch punch.
