Repurposing a Metal DVD Case to a Mini-Album or Organizer - Scrapbook Parade Class

My daughter, Dana, had a lot of these metal DVD cases, and in June when I last visited her in Calgary, I was able to take some back to Victoria to use for a class. I thought of a number of different projects, and opted for this idea since it had multiple uses.

This is it closed shut with a belly band. I kept it fairly simple, with very little fussy cutting since there are 16 pockets to make which involves a lot of cutting, scoring and folding. Here is is standing open.
This accordion may be used as a mini-album, a photo organizer, a journal, or a keepsake holder (concert tickets and programs, movie tickets with journaling your thoughts of the movie, cards sent to you, etc.), or to hold all the cards you make to give out next year (they'd have to be A2 cards and envelopes).

You can see that each of the 16 pockets can hold more that one tag with photos and journaling, or more than one photo for organizing, and more than one A2 card & envelope.
If you wish to know how to make this out of a metal DVD case let me know in your comments, and I'll post a tutorial after I teach the class October 9th. It might make a great Christmas gift!
Thank you for stopping by, and happy crafting everyone!
