Color Cue {8} Challenge Plus Stamping Vacation DT: Have You Tried Challenge

The WPlus9 Design Studio blog's Color Cue {8} challenge has such terrific colors! I originally made the following card for it, as well as for Stamping Vacation's Have You Tried Challenge where one is required to have a border of buttons. Hopefully, this qualifies since it's not quite a full border! ;) However, I did not care for how the stamped background turned out and so I hit the craft desk again (see below).

I made this one instead for the Color Cue {8} challenge and prefer it much more.

The inspiration came from one of the Color Cue {8} challenge participant's blogs! The 2nd card on this post from The Mango Boys and Me inspired strips of embossed paper sewn to the card as well as the "centerpiece" of the card. Thank you, Lynn!

LOVE your framed sentiment, on your first take, Dana! And the way you offset and stitched those paper strips on a simple, white background, on your second take, is superb!

Thanks, Jinny! I was thinking about taking the framed sentiment off of the first card and putting it on another but I didn't have time before I had to give it to the recipient! ;)
