Fall is here, and we start crafting like mad for the holidays to come. Thanksgiving, Halloween, and Christmas!
Today I'm sharing with you three layouts for a class I'll be teaching on October 18th. At first I thought I would post one layout at a time, and I thought it would be easier for those taking the class if I posted all three together on one post. So this will be a longer post. But then I tend to do that anyway, and you are hopefully used to that by now. lol!
For these classes we will be using the Graphic 45 "Eerie Tales" collection. On the most part I tried to design these layouts so that they could be used for other than Halloween as well. So let's begin with the purple and orange layout.
All the purple you see are the photo mats for trimmed 4 x 6 and 3 x 4 photos. I intentionally used the measurements that are traditional pocket scrapbooking size. Some fussy cutting, cut-a-parts, stickers, and punch-outs from the cardstock die-cuts set are used for this layout. I also used some Star Dust Stickles here and there on the odd pumpkin, circle edge, and the first letter of the word or phrase.
So here are some of the detail photos (I used some for the teaser photos on my Paper Architecture With Sabrina FaceBook page). The first is the left side of the layout.
This is the right side of the layout.
These are the detail closeups-
Now let's have a look at the Green and Floral/Black layout.
This layout has space for 5 trimmed 4 x 6 photos. Three landscape and 2 portrait. There's a little bit of fussy cutting, some from the banners form the cardstock die cuts, tags from the cut-a-parts and cardstock stickers, and some ribbon accents. See the tags peaking above the portrait photo mats? Guess what?
...and now the right side.
And now for the details (again, some posted on the FaceBook page).
Now, for the third layout page, I thought we would take some of the left overs and create a pocket scrapbooking layout, with a bit of a twist. All the black that you will see are the spots for photos (or you could add more journaling if you wish).
Do you notice any sections and parts that are outside of the pocket? Let's check it out.
this first one shows that the "Scary" and "An Eerie Tale" are attached on the outside. The first with foam diemensionals, and second directly onto the plastic.
Here I've made a bundle of cardstock die cut charms. They are attached to the card that is on the outside. More details about this one to come.
And this third photo shows that the "Scary" and "Once Upon a Time" from the sticker sheet, are on the outside as well. This next photo will show you that some of these are attached directly to the card and on the plastic.
See the little black Velcro pieces that keep these folded cards closed? So what do you think of this idea? It adds more photos space and more journaling space too. All the gold sections are for journaling, but can write on black too with a white, gold or silver gel pen, or add more of the gold paper.
Well for those of you that are taking this class, these photos will help you with whatever you can't complete in class. For those of you not in this area, have fun with this inspiration.
