Celebrate Spring
A fun interactive Spring/Easter card. Shake and find 4 bunnies and 4 ducks in amongst the many flowers in the shaker box card. The flowers were cut using Cricut's Plantin Schoolbool cartridge and embellished with tiny brads and placed in a re-cycled packaging container. A frame for the box was cut using a combination of exactor kinfe and scissors and the box backed with a bright purple patterned paper.
The brightly striped paper is edged with a bright pink ink. Spellbinder's Nestabillities - large scallop circle used to cut the pink circle, edged with bright pink ink with the same ink used to stamp 'celebrate'. "Spring" stamped at the bottom with a bright green Dew Drop Billiance ink.

I [Heart] U
Like my last card, I made this one out of Stef's scraps. I was feeling inspired by this card and was delighted to find some transparency stuff in her castoffs.
The closeup shots are horrendous so I didn't include them but after stamping the heart and cutting it out, I paper-pierced it around the interior border. The pin stabbed through the center was a pearl-tipped pin that I embossed using the method here. The red twine is Martha Stewart.
The {i [heart] u} sentiment is a Unity stamp. I used the double-stamping technique by stamping it on white and red cardstock, then cutting out the heart from the red and pop-dotting it on the white. (The white cardstock was die-cut using a deckled rectangle--can't remember if it was a long one or the regular ones...)
Quite pleased with how this turned out!
Christmas Thank You
The stamp is from Papertrey's Tree Trimming Trio. I added the letter 'S' on the end of 'gifts' from a different stamp in the same set.
Valentine Treat Pyramids and Cards
Why not have a matching Valentine treat box to the card you give to those that are special to you? Here they are. I made these three for my grandson, grand-daughter, and daughter. Happy Valentines Day!
The pyramids are created by slightly altering the template of making the explosion box base, punching a hole in each point to feed the ribbon through to tie a bow thereby keeping the sides of the pyramid up and in place.
Each triangle on the pyramid side was cut and then embossed using the Cuttlebug and the Floral Fantasy folder.
In this next image you see two pyramids. You can re-configure the base size and height of the pyramid if you want.

The heart on this card was cut with the Cricut's Storybook cartridge. I cut off the little swirl tabs and tied 2 knots with shear pink ribbon on the left edge of the heart before ahering to the gray background. Then decorated with light pink rhinestones.
PTI Moment
I was going through my copy of Stamp It! Cards magazine and noticed that I really liked everything created by Maile Belles (pronounced My-lee Bells). My kinda style! I kept thinking, "If I had a company like PTI, I'd snatch her up!" Imagine my surprise when I found out that she is their latest "acquisition!" ;)
I checked out her blog today and this card totally grabbed me.

Isn't it just gorgeous! I love it! I can't wait to try this cutout idea, not forgetting the sentiment curving around the cutout.
Congrats, Maile!

Pink Heart Valentine Scrapbook Page
This was an exercise for me to try to use several techniques on a single scrapbook page. I used Core'dinations paper embossed with Cuttlebug's Floral Fantasy folder and sanded to expose the white core of the paper. Since the heart was too large for the Cuttlebug the heart is in two pieces with the seam covered by the Photo placement background. I've never used so many bottons on a project before, and is quite attractive on this page.
The silver heart button I had to cut off the back part so that I could adhere the button flat. The black and gray medalions I stamped and cut out with scissors. The top and bottom one are stamped with simple sentiments and are raised with pop dots.
I created the balck and white striped envelope to hold two tags for love notes to each other. The pink letters on the envelope are edged using a black gel pen. Gray and pink hearts of various sizes were cut on the Cricut using the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge, are adhered all over the page.
the flourished "Cherish" is stamped on the page and the sentiment is raised with 3D tape.
Valentine's Trio
I applogize for the poor photo. These cards are made with scraps and are non-traditional colours for Valentine cards. The colours of a deep burgany purple with rose, cream or gold.

Used a Marths Stewart border punch on this one.

Stamped "My Love" on the ribbon and embelished on either side with a rhinestone.
