Gift or Treat Box & Wallet Mini Gift Set

I'm so excited that I finally allowed myself to work with Graphic 45's Botanical Tea paper!! I still have Sweet Sentiments, but I realized I'll never get to Botanical Tea before the new lines start to  come out!

This project is actually a set. A hexagonal treat or gift box, a matching wallet mini, and a beautiful A7 card (5 X 7). I had so much fun making this set! And because it's a set with three items, that means a longer post and I hope you don't mind. I'll try to keep the photos to a minimum. There's a walk-through video at the end of the post, too!

Let's begin with showing off the hexagonal box. It is made up by using Graphic 45's Regular Tags Album! All six tags!

This Wallet-Mini was so fun to make, I want to make more! It's perfect for carrying around in your purse as a brag book!

And now for the card. I made this using the 8 x 8 pad and some scraps for the fussy cutting.

Easter Card #5 - Graphic 45 Sweet Sentiments

I meant to schedule this for early this morning! And now that I'm home for the day, I see that it wasn't. So here it is.

It's wonderful to have such beautiful Spring weather! Hope you are enjoying your Spring weather!

I'm back with Easter Card #5 made using Graphic 45 Sweet Sentiments leftover bits and pieces! This one is a little simpler...no fussy cutting, lol! And, it's more mailable too. Easter is fast approaching, and I have a few more I need to make! Yikes!

For this card I used the frame of a cut-a-part where I had cut out the image of and fussy cut for a different project. It helped to make the floral scrap fit the size of the card better.

And I decided to use some pearls on the pattern of the frame. I popped up one of the tags from the "Tags & Pockets" package, and created another tag to go on top with my circle punch. Put Glossy Accents on the circle cut from the scraps and circle it with pearls as well.

A Step By Step Tutorial "Thank You"

I'm going to share with you a "Thank you" gift! "Thank you" for your sweet comments; "Thank you" for following this blog; "Thank you" for sharing this blog with your friends; and "Thank you" for your support and encouragement!

Recently I made a layout, and having intended a different posting for it, needed to take step by step photos on how to put the layout together. However, things changed and I posted it for a challenge instead. Since I had all the photos I decided to give them to you. So if you are interested in making a similar layout to the one you've recently seen, here it is. Oh, and it's the one that won the prize at Craft Hoarders Challenge Blog for their 4th challenge! You can see it two different ways, too.

I used Graphic 45 Sweet Sentiments, and of course you can use whatever paper you'd like.

Start with a 12 x 12 and ink the edges if you wish.

With the next layer cut to 9 7/8 x 9 7/8, round the corners and ink the edges.

Then you need a piece 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 and a Martha Stewart Around the page set of punches. Ink around the edges.

Then with a 6 x 6 piece Punch around it using one of the We R Memory Keepers Mini 8 Punches and ink the edges.

Cut a strip to 1 1/2 x 10, fish-tail or notch one end and ink the edges. The second strip (the top one) I ended up not using.

Next you'll need a piece 6 3/4 x 10 1/2. If you wish to stitch as I did, you'll need the Martha Stewart "Cherished" Around the Page Punch set, an embroidery needle and embroidery floss to stitch using the holes this punch set makes.

I used metal filigree embellishments from Monique's Zibbet Store "ButterBee Scraps" and painted them white with acrylic paint. I ended up using only the square on you see at the bottom of this next photo.

In this next photo you see the embellishments I used from the paper; fussy cut flowers, a cut-a-part from the 12 x 12 paper pad, 4 smaller cut-a-parts from the 8 x 8 paper pad, and three chipboard pieces from the Sweet Sentiments package. And again, the edges are inked.

The net photos show how I layered it all together.

The next you tuck in, glue and pop up your fussy cut flowers, add your bling flourishes, metal filigree, chipboard pieces, and the rest of your cut-a-parts. Then you end up with your completed layout.

I decided to also make a video slide presentation using these photos.

Easter Card #4 - Graphic 45 Sweet Sentiments

A while back I said that I had a few more Easter cards to make. Well, I have my forth one to show you! I'm still trying to use up my Graphic 45 Sweet Sentiments paper. I made one with mostly blue another featuring the brown/kraft of the collection, and another mostly pink! So, this time it is in the lilac/violet/purples.

Again, I did some fussy cutting from scraps, and inked the edges lightly with Vintage Photo. I just can't help it! I love how fussy cut layers look! You'll note that I didn't center each of the layers, but off set them in the lower right corner. The last layer is attached to the card with hinges from Tim Holtz.

You can lift this piece up, and reveal a photo (which I haven't put on yet) that tucks beautifully under some of those fussy cut flowers.

Next, you can see the layers a bit better.

And detail close-ups....

I used Glossy Accents to give my flowers the look of early morning dew.

In this photo, you can see one of the pockets from the Sweet Sentiments Pocket and Tags package. I cut the front of the pocket out of the rest, inked the edges, wrapped a ribbon around it, tying a bow, and popped it up on the flap.

In this photo, you can see that I even glued some of the fussy cut flowers on the inside of the card.

File Folder Scrapping III

It's here! The third in the series of the popular File Folder Scrapping system is now available at Paper Architecture with Sabrina. I have a few photos for you see and towards the end a walk through video of the project.

Let's now have a look at the inside! Don't you just love those happy, bright, "Summery" colors!

When we remove the journaling tags with the orange ribbon we reveal the photo tags under them.

The photo tags can be removed so you can have a better look at the photos that will be on them...front...back or just front and journaling on the back?

On the right, we have a space for a larger photo with another little journaling tag that can be removed.

Now, this panel flips open toward the right to reveal more.

In the center we have magnet closures for two photo flip-ups!
