This project is for the last Graphic 45 Club class for this year, and we are using G45's 12 Days of Christmas paper. With the exception of the cardstock (Bazzill Card Shoppe 12 x 12 Candy Bar) for the box base and the tags and the 12 x 12 sheet of clear plastic for the tree, I used just about a full 12 x 12 pad.
Here are a few photos of the box from the outside.
The bow on the lid is made using My Favorite Things Die-Namics Jumbo Beautiful Bow. Now let's have a look at what you see when the lid comes off.
Here you see my clear pyramid tree encasing a spiral tree made from strips I cut from the page frames. More details about that in the video to come below. How about a view more from the top.
You can see all the fussy cutting shaped and layered. Each panel of the box is actually a pocket that contains a photo mat on one side and a journaling mat on the other. At the back of each pocket is a place to attach another photo. So there is room for 20 photos with 12 journaling tags.
Here is a close up of the tree.
The following photos are two of each flap, page, or pocket (whatever you want to call them), so you can see the paper used on the photo mat for that pocket. You will also see that the fussy cut image for each pocket theme has been covered with a thin layer of Star Dust Stickles to give it more of a focus. The photos seem to have picked up heavily on the sparkle and in real life is not that sparkly.
A Partridge in a Pear Tree
Two Turtle Doves
Three French Hens
Four Calling Birds
Five Golden Rings
Six Geese
Seven Swans
Eight Maids
Nine Ladies Dancing
Ten Lords
Eleven Pipers
Twelve Drummers
OK, so that's it for the photos. You up to watching a video walk-through? Here it is.
This box can be a Christmas memento used every year. You add photos in it of this 2013 Christmas that will be a hidden treasure to look at following Christmases whenever you want, or just add one Christmas photo every year for 20 years. The photos are there, but not open to view as you go through the 12 Days of Christmas as part of your Christmas decor explosion box.
I wish you could see it in real, because the photos do not do it justice.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit. Hope that you are inspired to create your own 12 Days of Christmas explosion box!

This is gorgeous! If you have a tutorial, I would love to get it.
I live in texas. Would also love to know how to make this!!?
Sabrina, you did a fantastic job on this! Love it. I just wish G45 would spell "Joyeux Noel" correctly. As a French major, I need to figure a workaround for this if I use this set of patterned papers. I normally LOVE G45, too!

I am just now seeing this, it is FANTASTIC!!! The 12 Days of Christmas was my mothers favorite theme for decorating, see has sinced passed but I would love to make this in honor of her. Do you have any templates or written instructions? I found the pad at a CKC convention this weekend. I will gladly pay your for any materials! :) Love Love Love this!!
I forgot to check the reply box.
Thank you for your kind words Cherie Johnson. I do have the instructions which include a materials & supplies list, tools list, and video tutorial links, but I don't provide actual kits. One day, maybe, but not right now. The paper is last year's Graphic 45's "12 Days of Christmas". It will be hard to get that collection right now, but not impossible. You would just have to hunt around a bit.
You can find the instructions online at my Zibbet store front - https://www.zibbet.com/paperarchitecture
Again, thank you, and happy papercrafting!
